The Living Dead
by George Romero and Daniel Kraus
This is the epic tale of mankind's fall to the undead that George Romero wanted to tell his entire life. Brilliantly written by Daniel Krauss after Romero's death, using hundreds of pages of Romero's never-published works, it's the Game of Thrones of zombie fiction. An absolute keeper, it spans about 50 years of story from the first zombie to rise, all the way to humanity's struggle to rebuild decades later. I really loved this book.
